【摘要】:Avarietyofmethodsexistforthismeasurement.Eachmethodhasitsspecificapplicability,limitations,andlevelsofcomplexity.Theusersofthisguideshouldusethedescriptionsofthevariousmethodstochoosetheprocedure,whichmostcloselymeetstheirneeds.Mostofthesemethodsarenotintendedtopredictsedimentyield(6).Thesemethodsareusedtoestimatethesoilloss(inmassofsoil/unitarea/unittime)fromrainfallandsnowmeltforsite-specificfactorsduetorillandinterrillerosion.Thesemethodscannotbeusedtoestimatesoillossfromephemeralgullyorchannelerosion.Theestimatesresultingfromthemethodsinthisguidedonotconstituteadesignforcontroloferosion.However,theoutputsofthesemethodsmaybeimportantinputintosuchadesign.1.1Thisguidedescribesmethodsusedforestimatingsoillossesduetorillandinterrillerosion.Allknownmethodsforwatererosionwithasedimentyieldcomponentarelisted.Thisguideprovidescompletereferencecitationsforthevariousmethodscurrentlyusedtoestimatesoillossbyrillandinterrillerosion.Thereferencedmethodscontaintherationaleanddetailedproceduresfordeterminingrillandinterrillsoilloss.Foreachmethodlisted,specificapplicability,limitations,andlevelofcomplexityarebrieflyoutlinedintermsoftherelativespatialscale,landuse,hydrology,erosion,timescale,inputrequirements,andoutput.1.2Thereferencedmethodsweredevelopedforspecificusesandmaynotbeapplicableinallcases.Forexample,someofthevaluesderivedbythesemethodsestimatetheamountofsoilmovementonafieldwithoutre-depositionwhileothersaccountforre-depositionandestimateoff-fieldsedimentyield.Mostofthesemethodsarenotintendedtopredictsedimentyield.1.3Metric(SI)UnitsSomeofthemethodsinthisguidearewritteninthepreferredEnglishunits.Adiscussionoftheconversionofthefinalanswertometricunitsisincludedinparagraph.1.4Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisguidecannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgement.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.Thisguideisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisguidebeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisguidehasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
